Extension of the CMU
Corresponding to the extension of the University Medical Centre (UMC) and located opposite HUG, the UMC 5-6 opened its doors in late 2016. It combines different University and HUG research groups under the same roof, including
- the University dental medicine clinic, which has very strong ties with HUG’s maxillo-facial surgery department,
- the Interprofessional simulation centre for the University, HES-SO Genève and HUG
- the Geneva-Lausanne pharmacy school, which is linked to the hospital pharmacy.
This building represents a major centre dedicated to life sciences, where clinical and basic research meet and interact.
