HUG is part of a research team exploring personalized exoskeleton robots and their application in terms of rehabilitation after a stroke.

The study, entitled the NeuroProBES project, aims to demonstrate whether the exoskeleton, thanks to its ability to determine series of precise movements, improves the recovery of a paralysed arm, or not. It will also assess the personalized robot’s effectiveness on cerebral and muscular plasticity following a stroke.

This research is the fruit of a collaboration between several partners, including the Wyss Center, based in Geneva, and the EPFL.
