The Swiss Pediatric Liver Center is the only center in Switzerland accredited in Highly Specialized Medicine (HSM) for pediatric liver transplantation as well as for hepatobiliary and pancreatic surgery in children. Our mission is to care for and support all children with liver disease.
The goal of this website is to answer essential questions : What is this disease ? What will happen during the medical exams ? What should we do while waiting for a transplant ? What will happen during the liver transplant ? What will happen once we get back home ?

Our mission is to care for and support all children with liver disease
The Swiss Pediatric Liver Center is the only center in Switzerland accredited in Highly Specialized Medicine (HSM) for pediatric liver transplantation as well as for hepatobiliary and pancreatic surgery in children.
More than 220 children have already received liver transplants in Geneva since 1989. Their 90.9% survival rate is one of the highest in Europe.
The Swiss Pediatric Liver Center is the headquarters of the International Registry of Congenital Portosystemic Shunts.
