Genetic determinants of kidney-related phenotypes

-
Renal function and kidney diseases aggregate in families and are, in part, determined by genetic factors. New technological advances now allow exploring the human genome with great detail. This presentation will summarize recent genome-wide associations for kidney-related phenotypes, with a focus on methodological aspects, such as heritability, study design, allelic heterogeneity, linkage disequilibrium and multiple testing.
