Engaging in something else and distracting yourself can be helpful when emotions are running high. Here are some activity suggestions to help you change your mindset in 15 minutes:

  • Take a little walk inside or outside
  • Listening to music
  • Enjoying a coffee or tea outside in peace
  • Treat yourself (face mask, moisturizer)
  • Write your shopping list for the week
  • Do some tidying
  • Go to the store near your home to do some shopping
  • Do a brief physical exercise such as stretching, for example, or a relaxation exercise
  • Browsing the internet
  • Read a journal/magazine article or a book chapter
  • Call or write to a friend/family member
  • Download videos of your interest on the internet
