The HUG Cancer Center brings together all the hospital's expertise necessary for the care of cancer patients. It proposes and coordinates the best strategy for diagnosis and treatment.
The center’s multidisciplinary approach ensures access to the latest innovations and state-of-the-art equipments across all relevant medical specialties. It offers a personalized clinical care pathway for each patient and individualized support.
To fulfill its mission across all types of cancer, the Cancer Center is divided into centers certified by external organizations for the most common cancers (colorectal, lung, prostate, and breast) and into specialized programs.
Each type of cancer benefits from a panel of specific experts.
The Cancer Center has four centers certified at the national or international level. These certifications attest to the excellence of the quality of its care.
Certification by the European Cancer Centre Programme
These certifications ensure that high quality cares are given by experts following the state-of-the-art guidelines for their specilaty. These certifications are subject to verification through regular audits by independent bodies.
The Onco-Gynecology Center (FR) is certified by an internal labelling committee.
