
PD PhD MD Dr med Jeremy Meyer is Senior Consultant Surgeon in the Division of Digestive Surgery at the University Hospitals of Geneva (HUG) and Privat-Docent at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Geneva.
He is a specialist in digestive surgery, minimally invasive surgery, colorectal surgery, and proctology. He is also coordinator and founding member of the Colorectal Cancer Center, the first center certified by the European Cancer Centers (ECC) in French-speaking Switzerland for the care of patients with colorectal cancer. He is also consultant in digestive surgery for the Swiss Cancer Institute, and member of the Cantonal Ethics Committee of Geneva.
Dr Jeremy Meyer is originally from Geneva, where he completed his secondary education at the Collège de Saussure before studying medicine at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Geneva.
He subsequently specialized in surgery at the University Hospitals of Geneva, followed by international fellowships at the University Hospitals of Cambridge (Addenbrooke’s Hospital, United Kingdom) and at the Brabant North Hospital (Amphia Ziekenhuis, Netherlands).
Dr Jeremy Meyer also received extensive training in robotic surgery on the Da Vinci Xi platform (Intuitive Surgical) through an official and competitive fellowship of the European Society of Coloproctology (ESCP). He now practices on the new platform Da Vinci 5.
These training experiences in internationally renowned expert centers enabled him to acquire strong expertise in general surgery, digestive surgery, colorectal surgery, and proctology, validated by the following specialist qualifications:

With a strong commitment to improving patient care and contributing to scientific progress, Dr Jeremy Meyer complemented his clinical training with three years of fundamental research at the Surgical Research Unit and at the Cell Therapy Laboratory of the Faculty of Medicine of Geneva. His research focused on mechanisms of liver regeneration, pancreatic islet transplantation in diabetic patients, and studies on colorectal cancer. Dr Jeremy Meyer has also received more than ten awards, including prizes for research projects, specialist examinations, and doctoral theses.
