In order to guarantee optimal and immediate treatment, a doctor from the Neurosurgery Division is present 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Close collaboration with Emergency services and intensive care allows for the provision of the most advanced treatment to accident victims and polytraumatized patients in the Geneva area.
Our division also welcomes patients transferred from neighboring France in cases where rapid treatment must be provided.
If necessary, treatment and monitoring specializing in neuro-rehabilitation may be offered. The ANH (Acute Neuro-Rehabilitation) program offers the possibility to immediately start neurological rehabilitation in the Neurosurgery Division by taking advantage of the HUG neuro-rehabilitation team’s expertise.
LEARN MORE: The Neurosurgery Division specializes in other brain surgery procedures, including vascular neurosurgery, epilepsy, pituitary gland disorders, hydrocephalus, functional disorders, and traumatic brain injuries. The division also offers advanced techniques such as transcranial magnetic stimulation brain mapping.
