Doctor Graziano Oldani studied medicine at the University of Pavia ( Italy ) as an alumnus of Collegio Ghislieri.
After training in general surgery between Italy, England and Switzerland, he continued with a specialization in liver and pancreatic transplantation and surgery at the University of Toronto (Canada).
His clinical activity is focused on minimally invasive surgery of the liver and pancreas, and on transplantation of the liver, kidney and pancreas.
In parallel with his hospital activity, Doctor Oldani pbtained a PhD at the University of Pavia (Italy). He continued his research activity within Professor Toso's laboratory and developed several models of transplantation in rodents, as well as xenotransplantation of rat-mouse chimeric livers.
Since 2020, Doctor Oldani has been leading a fundamental research group with the support of the Swiss National Science Foundation and private funds. The main theme of his research is the biogeneration of autologous organs for transplantation, with the objective of one day being able to manufacture organs from patients' cells.
