Extreme fatigue can take a few days to recover from. To feel better, consider the following steps:
- Cancel the tasks to be done and non-urgent appointments for the day
- If possible, ask your family to take over some of your chores
- Take a nap (preferably before 2 p.m. so as not to disrupt your bedtime)
- If it’s evening, go to bed
- Adopt regular schedules for waking up and going to bed
- Make sure to stay hydrated regularly and not skip meals (going several hours without eating can cause fatigue)
- Plan your schedule for the next few days (don’t overload your day, even if the activities are enjoyable)
- In moments when you feel you have more energy, try to activate your body (by doing a light sporting activity such as exercises at home, outside or at the gym).
