Research activities of the Division of Neurorehabilitation

The Division of Neurorehabilitation conducts research in various areas of neuroscience and neurorehabilitation, such as memory, language and vision disorders or movement rehabilitation. These research programs are supported by external funding, in particular the Swiss National Science Foundation.

Research groups

Neuro-rehabilitation and neuromodulation: After a brain injury, rehabilitation can improve neurological and cognitive functions, but each patient responds differently. Our team is studying the mechanisms of brain plasticity to develop personalized treatments and optimize the recovery of our patients.

Brain injury and spatial attention: Our team analyzes the cognitive mechanisms of spatial representation and studies the impact of brain injury on visuospatial attention in order to develop appropriate treatments for these disorders. The group is also interested in the mechanisms of recovery after a stroke, particularly the changes in cognitive and affective functions.
