The Division of Neurorehabilitation specializes in the rehabilitation of people suffering from damage to the central or peripheral nervous system. It works in collaboration with all the medical departments of the HUG, in particular the Division of Neurology and the Neurosurgery Department.
Inpatient and outpatient care
In a hospital or outpatient setting, the medical and nursing team cares for people suffering from a central or peripheral nervous system disorder that results in functional disability.
After assessing your needs, the care arrangements and objectives are defined with you and your loved ones. The length of the stay varies depending on the severity of the condition and can last several weeks.
Your stay is intended to achieve optimal recovery and to put in place all the necessary means to ensure the greatest possible autonomy and quality of life.

The Division of Neurorehabilitation also offers specialized outpatient consultations in:
- neurorehabilitation
- paraplegology
- neuro-urology (including urodynamic assessments)
- neuropsychology
These consultations can take place after a stay in the hospital or at the request of a hospital or city doctor.
