Mission of the Reproductive Medicine and Gynecological Endocrinology Unit
The HUG Reproductive Medicine and Gynecological Endocrinology Unit, headed by Dr. Isabelle Streuli, provides care for couples having difficulties around their plans to become pregnant or with infertility overall.
The multidisciplinary team, made up of physicians (gynecologists specialized in reproductive medicine, sexologist, psychiatrist, urologist, andrologist, etc.) and specialized nurses, organize and conduct all the examinations required for a fertility analysis in order to propose comprehensive care.
Added to this, is the care and monitoring of women affected by menopause-related disorders or who are having issues in connection with hormones involved in regulating the menstrual cycle. The unit also offers specialized consultations in urology/andrology for cases of male infertility.
- Gynecological endocrinology
- Menopausal transition disorders (menopause)
- Fertility preservation
The unit works in collaboration with the Fertas SA and CPMA SA laboratories on medically assisted human reproduction investigations and treatments and with many HUG specialists to provide comprehensive care for infertility, menopause and gynecological endocrine disorders.
