Molecular analyses (real-time RT-PCR):
The laboratory carries out PCR tests, which enable the detection of viral genomes in most available samples. These tests are divided into several main categories (non-exhaustive list): detection of viruses in venous blood (viraemia), viral respiratory infections, central nervous system infections and enteric infections.
Serological tests:
The laboratory carries out various serological tests for diagnostic purposes or to assess a patient’s immune status. These tests are divided into several main categories (non-exhaustive list): assessment of immunity or vaccination status, initial screening for organ donation and transplantation, occupational accidents, acute or chronic hepatitis, HIV and retroviruses, and arboviruses.
Sequencing:
Our sequencing platform combines traditional Sanger sequencing with high-throughput sequencing techniques (Nanopore, Illumina) to offer the following diverse applications: detection of antiviral resistance (HIV, HCV, influenza, SARS-CoV-2), genotyping (HIV, HCV, measles, rubella, influenza and enteroviruses), genomic surveillance (SARS-CoV-2), and detection of viral genomes in various clinical samples (CSF, plasma, respiratory swabs, etc...).
