Supported by the Swiss National Science Foundation and the Swiss Development Cooperation, the COHESION project – which stands for COmmunity HEalth System InnovatiON is being led by the University of Geneva and Geneva University Hospitals together with partner institutions in Mozambique, Nepal and Peru, as well as with the Graduate Institute and the Università della Svizzera italiana. The first event focusing on partnerships and global health will include a keynote address by Collaboratio Helvetica entitled: "Radical collaboration for a co-created future we want to live in” followed by an exciting panel discussion including participants from the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation; ESTHER Alliance Switzerland; World Health Organization Global Coordinating Mechanism; International Federation of Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Associations and Medicus Mundi Switzerland.
In the afternoon a joint event between Lima, Peru and Geneva, Switzerland will focus on Universal Health Coverage and Primary Health Care. This session will share global perspectives presented by the World Health Organization as well as lessons from the field with interventions from colleagues in Peru as well as the Ministry of Health from Peru.
