Sandrine Morel and Philippe Bijlenga will organize the MS3: Mechanistic Understanding and Multimodal Risk Profiling of Intracranial Aneurysms symposium at the 9th International Conference on Computational and Mathematical Biomedical Engineering (CMBE2026) which will be held during 22nd-24th of June 2026 at the Kobe International Conference Center in Japan alongside Anne Robertson, Yasutaka Tobe, Juan R. Cebral, Norman Juchler and Sven Hirsch.
This mini-symposium brings together interdisciplinary research that integrates multimodal clinical, biological, and computational data to advance personalized risk prediction and to deepen the mechanistic understanding of aneurysm formation and progression. The goal is to highlight current research addressing the multifactorial nature of aneurysm formation, growth, and rupture, as well as the increasing need for multimodal and personalized strategies in risk assessment and disease management. Of particular interest are studies that advance the development of quantitative, mechanistic, and data-driven frameworks capable of integrating multimodal information into predictive tools for aneurysm behavior.
