Head of the Neurosurgery Division at HUG and Full Professor at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Geneva, Professor Karl Schaller has been, since 2019, head of the Department of Clinical Neurosciences at HUG.
His specialties are neurovascular diseases, epilepsy and brain tumors. He is also working on the introduction of cutting-edge technologies in the operating room, such as mapping, functional monitoring and 3D intraoperative imaging.
Being at the origin of the NeuroCentre project at HUG, Professor Karl Schaller sees his idea come to fruition in 2021. Thanks to his position within the international medical and scientific community, he can now effectively promote the NeuroCentre and establish abundant collaborations, between HUG services, but also with other institutions and hospitals.
