An engineer by training, Elena Beanato obtained a PhD in translational neuroscience at the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), where her work focused on the use of non-invasive brain stimulation to improve the rehabilitation of patients with neurological and neurodegenerative diseases.
As project manager of the Outpatient clinic for brain and mental health, located at the Campus Biotech in Geneva, Elena Beanato works to strengthen the links between the clinical and research domains. Integrated into the HUG-NeuroCentre, its mission is to promote the development of a center of excellence offering multidisciplinary, comprehensive and specialized care, based on close collaboration between clinicians and researchers.
