TraumaSport-GE study

Head injuries represent a major clinical challenge in the field of sports. Even when considered mild (concussions), their long-term consequences can be significant: cognitive impairment, mood changes, and motor impairment.

The TraumaSport-GE study examines the knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors of athletes in the canton of Geneva regarding these injuries with the aim of strengthening prevention and treatment strategies.

  • Inclusion criteria: Athletes aged 18 and over, professional or amateur
  • Method: Online questionnaire (approximately 30 minutes)

This study is being conducted by the HUG NeuroCentre in partnership with the Faculty of Psychology at the University of Geneva, the Geospatial Molecular Epidemiology Group (GEOME) at the Laboratory of Biological Geochemistry (LGB) at EPFL and the Cantonal Office of Culture and Sport, in collaboration with the Geneva Sports Association.
