Anticip'action

Anticip’action is a card game designed to help you clarify your ideas, share your values and preferences, and plan concrete actions regarding your care and end-of-life decisions.

The game is available in a printed version or a digital version.

How does the gameplay work ?

The cards cover four main themes: “Illness and care choices”, “Practical decisions and questions”, “Respect and dignity” and “Feelings and relationships”. The back of each card provides explanations and proposes possible actions.

First, you rank the cards in order of priority, then select 10 that you want to continue working on. Next, for each of these cards, you decide what actions to take to address the issue at hand.

You can play it alone, but we recommend that you play it with a loved one or with members of your healthcare team.

Creation of Anticip'action

The creation of the game Anticip’action is the result of a collaboration between the Institute for Ethics History and the Humanities at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Geneva and the Care directorate of the Geneva University Hospitals (HUG). The development of the digital module was supported by the Centre de l'innovation and the Direction des systèmes d'informations at the HUG.

Anticip’action also received support from the Fondation privée des HUG.
