Ebola vaccine candidate

In order to counter the Ebola epidemic, the World Health Organization (WHO) has established a programme to fast-track human trials of two vaccines that have proven effective in animals. WHO and HUG are collaborating to launch one of the first clinical trials of the "VSV-ZEBOV" vaccine candidate. The research protocol has been accepted by the Geneva Scientific Research Ethics Commission, the WHO Research Ethics Review Committee and Swissmedic.

Vaccin Ebola

Pour enrayer l'épidémie de virus Ebola, l'Organisation mondiale de la santé (OMS) a mis en place un programme pour faciliter et accélérer les essais sur l'Homme de deux vaccins qui se sont avérés efficaces chez les animaux. L’OMS et les Hôpitaux universitaires de Genève (HUG) collaborent pour réaliser l'un des premiers essais cliniques avec le vaccin dénommé "VSV-ZEBOV". Le protocole d'essai clinique a reçu les autorisations de la Commission cantonale d'éthique de la recherche scientifique de Genève, du Comité d'éthique de la recherche de l'OMS et de Swissmedic.
