Activités de recherche
Le but de la recherche menée par ce groupe est d'explorer le lien entre les horloges circadiennes mammifères et le métabolisme. L'équipe de recherche s'intéresse en particulier à l'importance physiologique d'une horloge pancréatique et son rôle dans les maladies métaboliques et le diabète de type 2 au travers de trois projets:
- Rôle des horloges cellulaires sur la fonction des cellules béta pancréatiques: l’enregistrement de la bioluminescence dans les cellules vivantes est employé pour analyser l’expression des gènes et leur fonction dans des conditions physiologiques et de rythme circadien aboli
- Rôle des horloges cellulaires de la souris sur l’homéostasie du glucose: l’enregistrement de la bioluminescence en temps réel permet d’étudier la contribution des horloges biologiques à la sécrétion d’insuline et l’homéostasie du glucose dans des conditions physiologiques et de diabète de type 2
- Etude des horloges circadiennes humaines: à travers les rythmes circadiens de cellules provenant de biopsies cutanées, la fonction des horloges est comparée chez des sujets en bonne santé et diabétiques
