A center for emerging viruses

Emerging viruses: these words evoke elusive enemies and uncontrollable health crises. An unknown disease hits a corner of the world and has repercussions on global health. Like H5N1or MERS several years ago, Ebola in 2015 and Zika in 2016.

It is mainly caused by viruses.

These viruses are mostly not dangerous to the fetus, but you can consult your family physician.

Condyloma

Sexually transmitted genital lesion caused by a virus (Human Papilloma Virus = HPV).

Can present as a cutaneous wart on the vulva, vagina or anus in women, and on the penis, testicles or anus in men.

If it develops on the cervix, the condyloma does not take the form of a wart and is called a flat condyloma.

A certain type of HPV is found to be present in the majority of cervical dysplasia cases.
